APRIL NEWSLETTER

One competition down, a few more to go! I was so proud of our teams, how they pulled together and did absolutely amazing! I can’t wait for the rest of our teams to join us at our next competitions. Our kids have worked so hard this year and it will be so fun for their hard work to pay off!

If you did the fundraiser an email will be sent out with the balance left and your competition fees will be due by Friday, April 11th. Any competition fees not paid in full by April 18th will receive a finance fee of 10% per week of the balance owing. Any other items that have been due up to this point and not paid off will start to accrue interest as well. If you have anything owing for your account I will be sending home a statement this week as well.

SPRING BREAK! No classes April 7th - 11th. Have a safe and fun break! Be ready to work hard the next week!

Once again we have been invited to perform in the Stadium of Fire, headlined by Carrie Underwood! This is such a wonderful experience for these dancers! Stadium of Fire (SOF) is an extra program that is open to dancers age 9 and up (age deadline is July 1st). There is a LOT that goes into this show. It is a major commitment! There are mandatory practices at the stadium; they are long and in the sun for the entire day. The cost to participate in the SOF will be $250. This includes: your monthly tuition for June, 2 – 3 practice outfits (exclusive only to those doing SOF), your costume and props for the show, a dvd of your performance in the show, and your field seat to watch the show. This caliber of show is not for everyone! Although it is open to ages 9 and up, not all dancers will be ready for the intensity of this show and its practices. Class will be held twice a week for 1 ½ hours each day, plus the mandatory practices at the field the few days before the show. The Stadium of Fire will be held on Friday, July 4th. I need to know if you are interested in participating. A $50 deposit will be due by April 11th in order to hold your spot. Once you have put your deposit down, you are committed to it!! There will be NO refunds! If you would like to know more about this program, please feel free to ask me. As mentioned before, not all dancers will be ready. Please consider this carefully before making your decision. If you have not participated in SOF before, please talk with me about the commitment to see it if is right for you! The remainder of the money will not be due until May 24th.

I am working on getting the schedule up for summer and next season. Summer classes run June and July (with August off), and fall classes start in September. Try-outs for the Stars team will be in August. ALL current members must try out each year. No one will be automatically placed on a team. I am so excited about our new studio, new season and all the new classes it will bring! Watch for the schedules soon!! Also, if you would like to be on the Parent Council, or think you would like to head up the Parent council, please let me know. This is a great way to get involved and help with things from the inside of the program. I will be having an open house at the new studio in May. Watch for the date!!

You can still get your studio gear! My stock is VERY LIMITED and I won’t be ordering anything new until next season. Don’t wait to get your stuff. I have a rack in the studio with everything I have left. Prices are greatly reduced, so come check out what is left and get it soon!

Tuacahn money has been sent in. You will receive a packet from the program director very soon. I am so excited about this! What a fun opportunity for the girls.

A BIG THANK YOU to the BEST dance mom’s ever! I truly have the best dance mom’s around. If you can offer assistance at competitions or anything, please let team mom, Kate Jackson, know. Her email is mjkjackson04@yahoo.com and she will let you know what we need help with. We plan on having a drink.snack station at competitions for the girls to have a small snack and drink during the long days. She is putting this together, among other great things she is doing for our dancers. So thankful for her hard work and for everyone pitching in.

We really only have a few months left in this dance season. I big thank you to the dancers for working so hard and getting their routines ready, a big thank you to the parents for getting them to class, and a big thank you to our teachers for working so hard!!

Miss Andrea, Miss Jada, Miss Kylie, Miss Breedh, Miss Shaylee

Blue Ribbon fundraiser info 2014

Here is the info on the Blue Ribbon fundraiser we are doing. The fundraiser will go from March 17th - April 4th. ALL orders must be turned in NO LATER than Friday, April 4th. You can have people order anything from the catalog that was sent home. Fill in the order form found on the back of the catalog. I have more catalogs available if you would like more than one. Dancers are receiving 45% of the profit from this fundraiser. If people are paying with a check they need to write it out to YOU (the parent of the dancer). When all your orders are collected, add up all the checks and cash and write ONE CHECK payable to Divas Dance Studio for the entire order. DO NOT take off your percentage. That will be done when the orders are turned in and it will be automatically credited to your account. There is NO tax that needs to be added to the cost of the product. It is just as the price appears. Delivery of the product takes about 4 weeks from the time of the time the orders are turned in. Our pick up will be around May 8th. More detailed pick up information will be sent home as the deadline nears. I hope I have given you all the details you need. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Remember:
* the deadline is April 4th!
* make checks payable to the dancers parent then ONE check out to Divas Dance Studio
* no tax added
* product delivered in about 4 weeks after turn in date

Thanks!!
